The No Limit and Cash Money Verzuz battle at ComplexCon was a night of celebration for New Orleans hip-hop, but one artist says she was completely shut out.

Former No Limit artist Mercedes claims she was not allowed to perform her hit “I Can Tell” even though the song was played during the show.

In a video shared online, Mercedes explained that she was at the event with her wristband, ready to perform, but said someone else took her place on stage.

“I don’t know how the f**k somebody else got to sing my song, without singing one of theirs,” she said. “This s**t is f**ked up and foul. But it’s cool, because I promise I got something for everybody.”

Mercedes went on to accuse organizers of intentionally keeping her off stage.

“Why do they have me and Timbaland on the side of the stage?” she asked. “These b***hes didn’t let me go on. That sounds deliberate. Something just ain’t right. Y’all can expect a lawsuit because I did not give permission for anybody else to perform my song. So it’s gonna be f**kin’ a problem.”

The artist also appeared to take shots at No Limit founder Master P.

“I’m over here trying to hold back tears,” she said. “But please know, that n***a been bad business. He been janking promoters at No Limit, so f**k him.”

Former No Limit act Mac spoke out after Mercedes’ threats, claiming that the singer was not “contracted” by Verzuz to perform. He also shut down claims that rapper Mia X was put in Mercedes’ place. According to him, Mia X didn’t sing Mercedes’ part. Instead, he invited the crowd to sing her part while he rapped his portion of the record.

Whether or not Mercedes’ threats of a lawsuit move forward, the moment has definitely reignited old tensions within the No Limit family.
