While on stage during an event at Irving Plaza this past weekend, Method Man revealed that he would be producing an album alongside his eldest son Sha.
Sha, 26, whose stage name is PXWER, will be a part of a second-generation Wu-Tang group with Young Dirty Bastard, son of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, as well as Ghostface Killah’s son, Sun God, and U-God’s son, iNTeLL.
On the group’s website, PXWER’s bio read: “For a while, music was put on the back burner for his passion of playing football going to college in Troy, New York, to play jr college ball. It was up in a dark dorm room; he fell in love with hip hop more than ever.”
In 2020, Method Man collaborated with the new group on the remix “Next Generation.”
“It’s dope to work with my pops,” his son said. “It’s like a dream come true, to be honest… Not many up-and-coming artists can say they worked with a hip hop legend like Method Man.”
