A California jury has found Metro Boomin not liable in the civil sexual assault case brought by accuser, Vanessa LeMaistre.
According to court reporter Meghan Cuniff, “jurors rejected all four claims against Metro, including sexual battery. They said the plaintiff didn’t prove any of them.”

The trial captured attention not only because of the serious nature of the allegations but also due to unexpected mentions of Lil Wayne this week. LeMaistre testified that she believed Wayne’s song “How to Love” was about her and claimed they dated for ten months. She also alleged her deceased child was fathered by him, a claim Metro repeated on the stand, visibly shocking her.
LeMaistre accused Metro of raping her in a hotel room in 2016 after she took Xanax and alcohol he provided. She said she woke up to him assaulting her and later had an abortion. Her lawsuit also referenced a 2024 ayahuasca ceremony that she said revealed her trauma’s root cause and included a spiritual message from Metro’s late mother.
Metro’s legal team called her a “woman scorned” and used past text messages like “Meet me in DC” and “I miss u” to argue her claims were inconsistent. The jury agreed.
