Michelle Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, are offering their life expertise in a new podcast.
“IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson” will feature the siblings tackling a variety of subjects alongside celebrities and experts. The podcast, produced by the Obama’s Higher Ground media imprint, will share its first episode on March 12th.
“With everything going on in the world, we’re all looking for answers and people to turn to,” The former First Lady shared. “My brother Craig and I launched the ‘IMO’ podcast to create a space for people to come as they are, ask honest questions, give their opinions, and have thoughtful conversations about life.”
“There is no single way to deal with the challenges we may be facing—whether it’s family, faith, or our personal relationships—but taking the time to open up and talk about these issues can provide hope,” she added.
Issa Rae is expected to appear early in the series, with other guests including Keke Palmer, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Tyler Perry, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
“We grew up talking through life’s big and small questions together,” Robinson shared. “And now, we’re inviting listeners into that conversation, with the hope that it sparks new ideas, new perspectives, and creates the connection we could all use right now.”
This is the latest podcast that Obama is leading, previously inking a deal with Spotify alongside husband, President Barack Obama for her namesake show on the streamer. Barack also hosted the limited series, “Renegades: Born in the USA” with Bruce Springsteen. However, they parted ways with Spotify in hopes of more freedom for their productions.
“IMO” will also record a special live episode at SXSW on March 13th and will be available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.
