Forever First Lady Michelle Obama shares her frustrations with politics while urging people to vote.⠀⠀⠀
On Sunday, Michelle Obama headlined her first rally at Chaparral High School in Las Vegas for “When We All Vote,” a nonpartisan nonprofit organization she launched over the summer.
“We get leaders we vote for. We get policies we vote for. And when we don’t vote, that’s when we wind up with government of, by and for other people,” Obama explained.
The forever first lady also went on to express her feelings on the current state of politics saying, “Believe me, I am frustrated too, I am sick of all the chaos and the nastiness of our politics. It’s exhausting and, frankly, it’s depressing. I understand wanting to shut it all out.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to ABC News, Obama signaled that she wanted everyone to vote, regardless of political affiliation.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“When We All Vote” is continuing its week of action as they host voter registration events throughout the week in different cities and on schedule to touch down in Miami for a second rally headlined by Michelle Obama on Friday.
