Michelle Williams Is Engaged!

Michelle Williams has officially replaced her hood soldier for a soldier of the Lord, as she is now officially off the market.

According to PEOPLE, the Destiny’s Child singer recently said ”Yes, ” in a secret engagement to pastor Chad Johnson, but kept the news under wraps until now. Now, almost a month later, the couple has disclosed the details of their engagement and forthcoming wedding ceremony.

“We could not contain this any longer!” Williams said of the news.

“I was in a horrible, dark place,” Williams continued of their love story. “I just needed to go somewhere where I could get a message of hope and restoration, rejuvenation — get connected to God.”

“When we met, both of us were in very similar places on a personal level,” Williams’ husband to be added. “Michelle was coming off the heels of a really bad relationship, and I was just in a place of despair as well.”

At first, the two kept their distance in fear of ruining their friendship. However, after time passed, Williams eventually slid in Johnson’s DMs and ”the rest is history” he said.

Finally, one year after their initial flirtatious exchange, Johnson brought Williams back to the place where it all started and popped the question, with the help of a proposal tour video.

Now, a little less than a month later, the two say they are ready to get married as soon as this summer.

“We do wanna get married very, very soon,” said Williams. “We’ve been moving very quickly and planning. Why wait? I want to get married now, but he wants a wedding!”

However, the two are also looking to inspire others with their love story. Since Johnson is white and Williams is black, they believe it’s the perfect time to put their love on display.
