Miley Cyrus highlights #NickiMinaj and #CardiB’s old beef in a new song.
It seems Cyrus is taking another jab at hip hop music. The singer sat down for an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend show in England on Saturday, where she debuted three new rap songs, entitled “Cattitude,” “Dream,” and “Mother’s Daughter.” But it’s her track “Cattitude” that has gone viral for highlighting infamous female feuds.
“I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi,” Cyrus raps. Nicki and Cardi, like many female rappers, were pinned against each other in the hip hop industry, which led to a fiery back and forth. While the two seem to have settled their differences, their beef was one that frequently made headlines throughout 2018.
But Cyrus didn’t hold back from pointing out other popular beefs like #SelenaGomez and #DemiLovato. “I love you Selena, but I listen to Demi,” Cyrus says in the verse. The former Disney star also called out her alter-ego, Hannah Montana.
Earlier this year, Cyrus announced she’d be working with hip hop artist like #MikeWillMadeIt for new hip hop songs, despite her previously criticizing the genre while promoting her country-pop album.
Is Miley doing too much?
