Monica Calls Out Ray J Over Brandy Joint Tour Talk

Monica wants Ray J to stop mentioning her name during interviews in hopes of scoring a joint tour with his sister Brandy.

During a recent Instagram Live, Ray J hopped into the R&B singer’s comments urging her to consider the joint tour.

“BRANDY/MONICA TOUR,” he wrote in the chat. “PLEASE LETS MAKE HISTORY, ONE RUN FOR THE FANS. 100M plus for you both.”

Fans who have been eagerly awaiting a Monica and Brandy reunion tour were thrilled by his comment, as they’ve longed for the “The Boy Is Mine” duo to perform together again.

Despite public demand, Monica clarified that she hasn’t been approached about a tour with Brandy. She expressed annoyance that media outlets are contacting her about it and want Ray J to refrain from discussing it unless there’s a concrete deal in place.

“I’ve been repeatedly contacted about interviews where my name and tour possibilities are being discussed. I’ve not received any contracts or calls about said tour,” she wrote Wednesday.

“Ray J – I’m kindly asking you to stop speaking on me in public!” Monica added. “A private conversation would be both necessary and respectful! Brandy is a LEGEND! She’s one of one with an extensive catalog that I deeply respect and a voice sent from heaven!”

She said, “The conversation being had without she and I is beginning to muddy the waters severely! She and I are both consummate professionals that share a massive recording as well as an entire era! Please allow this to remain positive and beautiful!”

Monica then shared another post, slamming Ray J for suggesting that she would open up for Brandy.

“Neither should open, we should give someone else that opportunity and co headline a massive shared stage if this is to ever happen! Any further convo should be private!,” she concluded her post.

Hopefully, fans will get a chance to experience the legendary R&B singers on stage together for a joint tour. Fingers crossed.
