Ne-Yo opened up about a time he offered to write music for Jennifer Lopez, but she allegedly ghosted him in their direct messages inbox.
The Grammy award-winning artist and songwriter sat down for an interview with E! News’ new show Down in the DMs where he opened up about a time he tried to work with Jennifer Lopez musically but never got a message back from her.
“I did DM J.Lo at one point about a song that I was trying to write for her,” he said of his former World of Dance co-judge. “I DMed her in the moment because she wasn’t right in my face and I didn’t have her phone number at the time, so I was like, ‘Alright, we’ll see if she’ll respond here.’ She didn’t, which is fine, that’s fine. She’s really busy.”
Despite never receiving an answer from the Bronx-born star, he says their skin off his bones over the matter.
“It’s not like we’re friends or anything,” said Ne-Yo. “It’s not like we did a whole TV show together or anything. It’s fine. It’s totally fine.”
