A new series will dive into some of history’s most famous deaths, including the mysterious death of Marilyn Monroe.
The new show Cold Case: History will look into these high-profile cases with modern-day forensics.
Ralf Rueckauer, vice-president of ZDFE.unscripted, said in a statement to Variety: “Developing this series has been an exciting journey with each episode unraveling a mystery. It’s been fascinating to see modern day forensics at work dispelling age old theories, particularly in the case of Marilyn Monroe, where we have unearthed new evidence and testimony.”
The blonde bombshell’s 1962 death still puzzles many today after her coroner report said her death was “probably suicide by taking an overdose’. Her death has raised many questions and sparked countless theories.
This show will open up new theories and possible suspects.
Other famous cases in this series will include the Medici Case, Vincent Van Gogh, and death of prostitute Rosemarie Nitribitt in 1957.
