The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is getting the TikTok treatment with a unique integration designed for a fun driving experience.Â
According to TechCrunch, the stunning Mercedes-Benz E-Class will include the popular app inside the updated version of the MBUX infotainment system. The more extensive center console screen will allow users to watch TikTok videos while the car is parked. Drivers will even be able to make TikTok’s using the selfie and video camera. Where the motorist is looking can be tracked by a monitoring system, guaranteeing the perfect shot each time.Â
Incorporating TikTok is part of Mercedes’ push to offer a more interactive car experience. News and sports will also be available at the touch of a button. Drivers will have the opportunity to download their favorite past times, such as the Angry Birds game, Zoom, and Webex.Â
Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius is pleased with the number of apps loaded and displayed on the car’s “superscreen.” According to him, they are geared toward millennial drivers. TikTok is also excited about the partnership, introducing “immersive in-car entertainment” to those during their work commutes or while stuck in traffic.Â
“As we aim to expand that experience for our users, we’re excited to partner with Mercedes-Benz,” shared director of distribution business development David Saidden.
The Mercedes deal comes at a time when the Chinese-based app, owned by ByteDance, faces intense scrutiny by the U.S. over security concerns. Nevertheless, the luxury car manufacturer is unbothered by data leak concerns.Â
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class market will arrive this fall.
