The final New Music Friday of April is fully packed with heat, with even Young Thug making his official return to the scene following his release from jail.
The Atlanta star joined forces with longtime collaborator Future for the single, “Money On Money.” This single serves as the first from his highly anticipated album, “UY Scuti.” Shortly after Thug announced his album, fans noticed that the Instagram page for his Young Stoner Life Records was scrubbed of all references to his artist, Gunna. This only fueled speculation that the pair were feuding due to “snitch” allegations aimed at Gunna, who was released from jail before Thug. However, when the music video for “Money On Money” premiered, it even appeared that Thug may be distancing himself from his label altogether, as a YSL rug was seen engulfed in flames. Whether or not Thug is ending his company remains to be seen. Nevertheless, fans are glad to have him back in the studio.
Next up is Coco Jones. The actress and singer unveiled her first album, “Why Not More.” The long-awaited debut is made of 14 tracks, with features from Future and YG Marley. The project includes her previously released single, “Taste,” which samples Britney Spears’ classic, “Toxic.” The album follows Jones’ 2023 EP, “What I Didn’t Tell You Deluxe,” which featured her breakout hit, “ICU.”
Days after teasing her new track, “Whenever,” Megan Thee Stallion introduced the track and the stunning visuals. This seems to be the first single from her “Megan: ACT III” album, which is slated to be released this year and complete the series. The single comes on the heels of her Coachella set, known online as “MegChella.”
