New photos have been released showing the massive amount of drugs and money that were seized from rapper Fetty Wap during his arrest last week.
Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office released the images to show the magnitude of Fetty’s alleged multi-million dollar narcotics operation. The photos show $1.5 million in cash split up into twelve evidence bags and over a dozen bricks of heroin and cocaine. In their bust, they also located fentanyl pills, multiple guns, and ammunition.
Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell II, was arrested on October 28th at the New York Rolling Loud Festival. Investigators believe that his role in the ring was that of a “kilogram-level” trafficker who transported at least 100 kilograms of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and crack from the West Coast to New Jersey and Long Island, where they were then distributed. He was detained with five others, who are accused of working together to run the operation between June 2019 and June 2020.
A corrections officer was also arrested for participating in the ring, a factor that FBI agent Michael Driscoll says “illustrates just how vile the drug trade has become.”
Wap is due to appear in court on November 24th.
