One of the nation’s top NFL prospects is facing serious allegations.
Isaiah Bond, a standout wide receiver for the University of Texas, turned himself in to authorities in Frisco, Texas, in connection with a sexual assault warrant. He was later released after posting bond, the Frisco Police Department confirmed.
The 20-year-old addressed the allegations in a statement shared to his verified Instagram account on Thursday, April 10th: “Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false.”
“I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation,” he continued. “Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgment until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”
Details of the accusations have not yet been made public.
Bond, expected to be a second-round pick in the NFL Draft later this month, began his college career at Alabama, where he recorded 65 receptions for 888 yards and five touchdowns. After transferring to Texas, he notched 34 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns in 2024, even clocking 22 mph during a game-winning play against UTSA.
The speedster also ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. Prior to the arrest, he had a private workout with the Buffalo Bills and was scheduled to visit multiple teams, including the Browns, Packers, Chiefs, Titans, and Falcons.
