While the internet has commenced to dragging the Nicki Minaj wax figure in Berlin for failing to capture the beauty of the New York raptress, apparently, the wax figure was given the Nicki stamp of approval over four years ago when it was initially debuted.

According to TMZ, the wax figure that was recently unveiled in Madame Tussauds Berlin was unveiled in August of 2015 at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas with the approval of the “Starships” rapper. Sources claim that she and her team collaborated with the museum on the creation of the wax figure in 2015. In fact, Nicki even shared a video of the “Anaconda” inspired display back in 2015 with the caption saying: “I would’ve went to Vegas for this. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda Madam Tussauds Wax Figure- whoever did this.”

Apparently, the figure was moved to Germany because the museums often loan out the figures to mix up the attractions, the publication reports. Many fans felt that the wax figure was less than favorable in the looks department, doing little justice for the stunningly beautiful Minaj.

Despite the ridicule, it appears that the figure is here to stay.
