In an interesting collab that no one saw coming, Nobu and Nike have teamed up for a limited-edition Air Force 1.
The AF1 Low is a joint effort between Nike, world-renowned Chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matushisa, and Los Angeles fashion-house, Stampd. The exclusive sneaker will only be available in the classic all-white layout with the logo that reads “Beverly Hills Sushi Club” and includes chopsticks in the middle. “Beverly Hills Sushi Club” is also scrolled on the tongue tag and the insole. Paying extra attention to detail, the shoe laces read “Stampd Matsuhisa.”
Stampd founder Chris Stamp shared images of the special-edition sneaker on his Instagram, where he was met with comments praising the forthcoming footwear.
The designer had been working with Chef Nobu for a bit before the collection was announced. His Beverly Hill Sushi Club collective teamed up with the Matsuhisa Beverly Hills for a curated menu days ago. Stamp also used the opportunity to showcase the newest collection of the simplistic clothing line.
The “Sushi Force,” as it has been dubbed, will be sold exclusively on the Sushi Club website for $195. An official release date has not yet been revealed, though the shoe is expected within the upcoming weeks.
