Nurse Who Tried To Steal Citi Bike From Black Man Now Under Investigation

The nurse who wreaked havoc on a Black man trying to rent a Citi Bike is now the subject of an investigation. 

The viral incident took social media by storm just days ago when a white woman seen wearing navy blue medical scrubs confronted a young man who was getting ready to take the bicycle. The customer already paid for the mobile, which was on his account and registered to him. For reasons unknown, the ridiculous Karen tried to steal the bike from the calm gentleman. She began to scream for help and accused him of attacking her even though the entire altercation was being filmed. At no point did the victim show aggression towards the woman as she yelled at him to let go of the bike. 

“Get off me! Get off me. You’re hurting my fetus,” the woman yelled as she continued to shove the victim. During the display, a co-worker of hers tried to diffuse the situation by suggesting that she use another bike. However, the Karen continued to throw a tantrum and even faked a tearful meltdown before eventually retrieving a different cycle. 

Her scrubs had the words “NYC Health + Hospitals” scribed on them. Now, Bellevue Hospital, where she is employed, has announced they are looking into the matter.

“NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue is committed to providing the highest quality of care to all New Yorkers with dignity, cultural sensitivity, and compassion,” hospital officials tweeted.

The video has been shared thousands of times across social media, with civil rights attorney Ben Crump getting involved, accusing the woman of trying to “weaponize her tears.”

The identity of the woman or the Black man she viciously harassed has not been shared publicly. Bellevue Hospital has not yet announced what type of punishment the woman could face, if any.
