New York City police released footage showing a woman attacked and groped in broad daylight by a man she didn’t know.
According to Fox News, the 35-year-old woman walked in Brooklyn’s East Williamsburg around 8 p.m. on Monday. She realized a man was following her.
When she turned the corner onto Stagg Street, the man was still trailing her.
Footage shows her stopping to let the man pass, but then she starts walking again. That is when the suspect runs up and tackles her from behind. He stays on top of the victim for a few seconds.
The woman is seen hitting him with something, making him get up and run off.
The man allegedly put his hand inside the woman’s shorts and “forcibly grabbed her buttocks,” police say.
The victim was not physically injured and denied medical treatment.
Police are still looking for the attacker, described as being 5-foot-5 and approximately 165 pounds with black hair.
