Ocean Spray Gifts New Truck To TikTok Star Behind The ‘Dreams’ Challenge

On Tuesday, Ocean Spray surprised viral TikTok video sensation, Nathan Apodaca, with a new pickup truck filled with juice.

Under the username @420doggface208, Apodaca uploaded a video of himself longboarding along to the Fleetwood Mac song “Dreams,” while sipping some cran-raspberry juice. The video garnered over 25 million views and sparked the “Dreams” challenge on the video-sharing platform.

In an interview with LATimes, Apodaca said he was “longboarding to work after his car battery died.” The viral star works as a laborer at a potato warehouse in Idaho. But now, thanks to Ocean Spray, he can ride comfortably to work in a brand new 2020 Nissan Pro-4X.

“When we saw Nathan Apodaca’s video and the joy it created, we knew we needed to celebrate him and the happiness he spurred,” CEO of Ocean Spray Tom Hayes said in a statement. “What a thrill to be part of a movement that is spreading so much positivity worldwide, especially during these unprecedented times.”

According to TMZ, Apodaca received $10,000 in donations since going viral and said he planned to give $5,000 of it to his mom, buy a new RV, and upgrade his car, which is the reason he was longboarding in the first place!

Drummer for Fleetwood Mac, Mick Fleetwood, caught wind of the popular video and created a TikTok account just to recreate Apodaca’s video. “@420doggface208 had it right. Dreams and Cranberry just hits different,” he captioned the video.

In the meantime, the 1977 hit “Dreams” is seeing a major surge in streams thanks to the video. The song has re-entered the Billboard charts, along with the album it appears on, Rumours. On Tuesday, the song was number one on iTunes.
