Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is seriously considering canceling the next debate, scheduled for October 12th, if Donald Trump still has Covid-19.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he’s “looking forward to being able to debate him,” but they “shouldn’t have a debate” if Trump remains positive for the coronavirus.
Biden spoke with reporters while boarding his plane back to Delaware and told them that the debate would need to follow very strict guidelines if it were to happen.
“I think if he still has COVID, we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden told reporters. “We’re going to have to follow very strict guidelines. Too many people have been infected. It’s a very serious problem.”
The next debate is scheduled for Oct. 15, with a third debate scheduled for Oct. 22.
