Ohio man has been accused of stabbing his mother more than 20 times because he “got tired.”
On Monday, around 6 p.m., police responded to a call about a stabbing that happened outside in a parking lot. According to PEOPLE, people who witnessed the attack told police 24-year-old Dorian White stabbed a female with a knife. The woman was identified as White’s 46-year-old mother, Melissa Graham.
According to an affidavit, White allegedly told law enforcement that he asked his mom to bring some groceries to his Grove City apartment, PEOPLE reports. Police say White’s attack seems to have been planned because when Graham “arrived, he met her outside,” maced her, and then started stabbing her “more than 20 times, and he only stopped stabbing her because he got tired.”
Grove City police Lt. Jason Stern told PEOPLE that White “faked a reason to get her over there.” Graham died shortly after being taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Care. Police arrested White nearby; he was still holding the murder weapon.
During an interview with the police, White allegedly said: “I feel bad but she deserved it.” White is currently being held with no bail at Jackson Pike Jail; he is expected to appear for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 10.
