Health concerns are now entering the conversation as the OJ Da Juiceman arrest takes another turn.
According to his representatives, the Atlanta rapper experienced a medical emergency while in custody earlier this month. The situation reportedly unfolded on March 21, just days after his March 15 arrest in Georgia, tied to a highway incident involving a state trooper.
His management told TMZ, “While in custody, OJ suffered a serious medical episode related to his Type 1 diabetes on March 21 and required emergency treatment at Grady Memorial Hospital. His health and safety should never have been put at risk in this way.” The statement raises concerns about how his condition was handled during detention.
This development lands as the rapper continues to face multiple charges connected to the alleged interstate encounter. However, his legal team and affiliates have continued to dispute key parts of the case, including whether he was even driving the vehicle involved.
His manager also pushed back strongly on the broader situation, stating, “OJ has suffered real professional and financial harm, including missed performances and disruptions tied to the release of his latest project, ‘R&B Juice 2,’ alongside Chester and Zaytoven. We expect this situation to be corrected and corrected quickly. If it is not, his management and legal team are fully prepared to take swift and aggressive action to protect his rights, including pursuing all available legal remedies.”
As the legal fight continues, concerns about his health are now part of the ongoing case.
