Omar Epps Added To The Cast Of Power Prequel “Raising Kanan”

Omar Epps is headed into the Power Universe. The veteran actor has just been added to the cast of Starz’s upcoming prequel, “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.”

According to Deadline, Epps comes to the series that is based on the backstory of the now-deceased character “Kanan” played by Curtis “50 Cent’ Jackson.

While not much is known about Epps’ major role in the show, what is known for sure is that “Raising Kanan” is the only Power spinoff that is set to take place in the past.

This series is apart of a slew of Power related spinoffs including the “Power Book II: Ghost” starring Mary J. Blige-led, Method Man, Michael Rainey Jr., Shane Johnson, and Naturi Naughton, the Larenz Tate-led “Power Book IV: Influence” and the now L.A.-based Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) driven “Power Book V: Force.”
