After reports surfaced alleging the couple had ended their 20-year marriage, the singer took to Instagram with a clear message that the reports were nothing more than fake news.
“I didn’t know. Thank you, People magazine. Thank you, Us Weekly,” she stated sarcastically before urging the outlets to talk about “real news.”
Earlier Thursday, People published an exclusive story stating Pink and Carey Hart were officially through, citing unspecified sources. The report quickly gained traction online, sparking widespread conversation about the status of their relationship. However, Pink’s direct response appears to shut down the narrative entirely.
Pink and Hart’s relationship has had its share of public ups and downs. The two first met at the 2001 Summer X Games in Philadelphia. They dated on and off before Hart proposed in 2005, and they married in Costa Rica in January 2006.
The couple briefly separated in 2008 before reconciling in 2009. That period inspired Pink’s hit song “So What,” and Hart even appeared in the music video. He also made an appearance in her “Just Give Me A Reason” video, further highlighting their willingness to be open about their journey.
Together, Pink and Hart share two children, 14-year-old Willow and 9-year-old Jameson.
For now, Pink is making it clear that talk of a split is unfounded and that her marriage remains intact.
