We now have more details surrounding Porsha Williams’ flight drama, and according to her team, she was the victim.
Williams’ flight back to Atlanta from BravoCon took an unexpected turn when she was escorted off a Delta Airlines plane following a heated exchange in the air.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” personality had just left a packed weekend in Las Vegas, but her return home quickly made headlines after law enforcement met her at the gate. According to her attorney, Joe Habachy, Williams was “verbally assaulted by an irate and unhinged passenger without provocation.”
Habachy said the unnamed passenger made claims that clashed with accounts from several eyewitnesses. “The passenger then proceeded to make false allegations that were in direct conflict with observations from several eyewitnesses,” he added.
The FBI, which reviews all incidents that occur mid-flight, confirmed they’re assessing whether federal charges apply. A law enforcement source told US Sun that Williams and another woman got into a disagreement, which led to the FBI’s involvement.
Despite the confrontation, both passengers were released and not detained. A Delta spokesperson confirmed that flight staff addressed the situation and that the flight continued to its destination without issue.
Williams has stayed quiet publicly, but her legal team says she’s fully cooperating with authorities and confident the truth will surface.
