Donald Trump is back in legal threat mode, and this time his target is ABC News. Trump lashed out on social media after the network questioned a $400 million Boeing 747 provided by the Qatari royal family — a jet that sparked controversy over whether it was a personal gift or a strategic donation.

Trump made it clear he’s not having the narrative that the luxury jet was gifted directly to him. In a post on Truth Social, he slammed ABC for what he called “Fake and Defamatory” coverage and reminded the public that he recently won $16 million in a lawsuit tied to what he called similar false reporting.
According to Trump, the jet was not a personal gift, but rather a donation from Qatar to the U.S. Department of Defense to help bolster military operations. He emphasized that neither he nor his administration accepted the plane for personal use, accusing ABC News of deliberately misleading the public.
He also defended Qatar, praising the Gulf nation’s $1.4 trillion investment in the U.S. economy and calling it “a highly respected country.” Trump said the media should not be undermining such partnerships with “misleading (Fake!) news.”
Trump ended his post with a warning, once again hinting at possible legal action against ABC and calling them “one of the WORST” news organizations in the country.
As Trump continues his second term in office, his war with the mainstream media shows no signs of slowing down — especially when luxury jets and billion-dollar optics are involved.
