Fans can remember the late Prince through an interactive adventure this summer in Chicago.
“Prince: The Immersive Experience” is being presented by Superfly and the Prince Estate. The one-of-a-kind display, which opens on June 9th, will feature a variety of spaces to highlight the legacy of the music icon, whose life was tragically cut short in April 2016. The exhibit will run through October 9th.
Visitors will be able to explore the “Purple Rain” album cover and enjoy themselves with an audiovisual dance party, explore Prince’s personal wardrobe pieces, instruments, endless photographs, and much more.
Superfly co-founder, Kerry Black, called the collaborative experience with the Prince Estate “an absolute honor.”
“I’m excited for fans to immerse themselves in Prince’s creative world in a way that has never been done before,” Black added.
This event is just the latest Prince project to be announced. Earlier this month, the Estate signed off on Third Man Records releasing the 1986 Prince album, “Camille.” The risk-taking musician originally planned on debuting the LP under his pseudonym Camille, a feminine alter-ego he personified through pitched-up vocals and androgynous fashion. However, after a test pressing, the album was shelved.
Tickets will go on sale Thursday, March 31st at 10:00 a.m. at princetheexperience.com.
