Another day, another Princess Love and Ray J divorce announcement.
On Monday, Love, the newly named winner of the Celebrity Poker Tour, announced that she and Ray are parting ways. In a lengthy Instagram post, Love suggested that she and the singer had talked about splitting for a while before deciding it was the best move for their family.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussions, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways.” Love wrote.
While unfortunate, this is certainly not the first time the couple has announced they were divorcing, only to reconcile soon after. Love filed for divorce in May 2020, though they did not finalize it. Then, in October 2021, Ray filed for divorce. However, the two were able to work out their differences once again. While appearing at the BET Awards in June 2023, Ray called Love his “best buddy” when talking to Entertainment Tonight before the show. Love also told the outlet that multiple outside influences didn’t want to see them together. Well, it looks like things have once again become too much to bear.
“We ask for your understanding, support, and respect for our privacy during this challenging time. We are grateful for the love and friendship we have received from each of you throughout our marriage,” Love added.
Ray J has not commented publicly on the matter.
