Soup brand Progresso just flipped the script on how we experience smoky flavor, this time through scent. The company has announced a new limited-edition product that brings the grill straight to your underarms.
Designed to celebrate Progresso’s new line of BBQ-inspired soups, the Pitmaster Deodorant is described as carrying the “signature smell of the BBQ pit, designed exclusively for your [arm]pits.”
It’s being offered in the new Pit Kit, which bundles the stick with a can of Progresso’s Pitmaster BBQ-Style Grilled Chicken & Fire Roasted Corn Soup.
“When we launched Progresso Pitmaster soup this summer, we showed BBQ lovers how easy it is to enjoy the bold and smoky flavors of a backyard BBQ with no grill or extra time required,” said María Carolina Comings, Vice President and Business Unit Director for Progresso at General Mills.
She continued, “While we had the flavors locked in, we realized our fans were missing the smell they got from manning the grill all day. For those who want the credit of standing over an open flame without the hassle of the grill, our new BBQ-inspired deodorant in the Pit Kit is the perfect solution.”
The Pit Kit arrived on October 2nd exclusively at ProgressoPitKit.com for $15. A second drop hits on October 16th. Supplies are limited, so BBQ lovers are encouraged to get their deodorant sooner rather than later.
