The disturbing details from Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ sex trafficking trial are now coming to light, and prosecutors are not holding back.
In opening statements on Monday, May 12, Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson painted a grim picture of what she called “freak offs,” a term used in the federal indictment to describe the alleged orchestrated and coercive sex parties involving the music mogul, paid escorts, and women who were allegedly manipulated or forced into participation.
One of the most graphic incidents shared in court involved singer Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura. Johnson claimed that during one of these events, Diddy ordered a male sex worker to urinate in Cassie’s mouth—an act that left her “feeling like she was choking,” according to The New York Times.
Cassie is expected to testify under her real name, marking a pivotal moment in the highly publicized case. Her 2023 lawsuit against Combs—which she settled just one day after filing—was the first domino in what has become a flood of lawsuits against the Bad Boy Records founder, alleging abuse and misconduct over years.
Prosecutors have also referenced surveillance footage from a Los Angeles hotel that appears to show Diddy physically assaulting Cassie in 2016. That footage is expected to play a critical role as the trial continues.
In addition to sex trafficking, Combs is facing charges of racketeering and transporting individuals for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.
During jury selection, potential jurors were questioned about numerous celebrities, including Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Mike Myers, and Michael B. Jordan—the latter mentioned due to a brief flirtation Cassie referenced in her previous lawsuit. Sources have confirmed that Jordan will not be called to testify.
As the case unfolds, the weight of the allegations and the potential for life imprisonment loom heavily over Combs, who appeared in court with visibly graying hair—a stark contrast to his longtime image as hip-hop royalty.
Combs has consistently denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.
