Quavo and Offset have put whatever differences they have aside to come together and celebrate what would have been Takeoff’s 29th birthday.
On Sunday, the two were snapped wearing Takeoff tribute shirts while celebrating attending a posthumous birthday party in Atlanta. Quavo shared a series of photos from the event on his Instagram Monday morning.
“ALL for TAKE!” he captioned the post. The last photo in the carousel showed a closeup of the two Migos rappers talking, which seemed unlikely until recently. The pair’s relationship was so fractured they almost came to blows earlier this year at an award ceremony.
Both rappers shared other tribute posts over the weekend, with Quavo posting a video of him and his nephew looking at clothes. “Happy Birthday @yrntakeoff can’t wait for days like this again!!!” he wrote. “BEST believe we goin up all week the Rocket way.”
Offset shared a carousel of photos on his page, writing, “Happy birthday rocket man.”
“Best spirit ever!! purest man I know,” he continued. “Your heart was golden bring me peace bra we celebrate your life because you still right here I love you gang.”
Takeoff was shot and killed outside of a bowling alley in Houston in November 2022. The alleged shooter, Patrick Xavier Clark, was indicted on murder charges by a Texas grand jury last month.
