Disturbing details continue to emerge about the abuse that took place at the hands of R. Kelly.
This time around, Kelly’s former assistant, Suzette Mayweather, detailed how the “Bump N Grind” singer forced his girlfriends to fight as punishment after discovering them twerking for cake during a birthday party held in a recording studio.
“He didn’t like that they were twerking for cake,” Suzette testified during the trial Tuesday. While she claims she never saw the women wrestling, the ex-employee claims she heard the young women “laughing or screaming” and “thumping” upstairs.
During her 16-month employment with the vocalist and producer, Suzette says one of Kelly’s girlfriends confided in her that the superstar had “spanked her.” The victim showed Suzette bruises on her buttocks that Kelly caused. Many of his victims have claimed that he locked them in rooms for long periods and required that they ask for permission to use the bathroom. Suzette confirmed that she, too, witnessed this behavior.
Suzette is now the fourth employee to take the stand against R. Kelly in his racketeering trial, all of them telling similar stories of the sadistic music expert who deemed himself a “genius.”
The first male victim of R. Kelly testified at the trial just one day earlier, claiming that he was led to the infamous singer’s house and sexually assaulted after believing that Kelly would assist him with his music.
