Radio Host Shot Dead by Husband in Murder-Suicide, Bodies Discovered by Their Children – blogged by @MsJennyb

Denise Bohn-Stewart, 45, former TV journalist and radio host, was found shot dead in her Berrien County home on Tuesday (April 19) by her husband, Eric in an apparent murder-suicide.

According to Daily Mail, Stewart, a breast cancer survivor, was shot multiple times in the couple’s bedroom before her husband retreated to the basement to kill himself. The couple was found by their three children ages 10, 9 and 8, around 6:30am.

Dispatch responded to their son’s 911 call, which revealed he found his father ‘passed away in the basement with ‘blood all over’. However, he stated he could not find his mother.

Upon arrival police found the children on the front steps. They were taken in by the officers and are now being cared for by family members. Sources say, the couple was having martial issues but further details have not been made available.

Family, friends and former co-workers have been sending their condolences since the news broke. It’s been eight years since Denise Bohn-Stewart had been declared cancer free.
