Ray J Says Doctors Worked “Miracles” After Claiming He Had Months to Live Due to Heart Condition

Ray J

Ray J is trying to steady the ship after a week that left fans questioning whether he was truly okay.

The singer and entrepreneur, 45, shared a more hopeful update on his health after alarming posts suggested his time might be limited. In a video obtained exclusively by E!, Ray J said he’s doing “alright,” adding plainly, “I feel better today.”

The update arrived just days after he revealed he had been hospitalized and claimed he “almost died” due to heart complications. In the clip, Ray J was seen walking outside alongside his manager, who offered reassurance of his own.

“He had a session with a doctor, who did miracles,” the manager said.

At the time of the video, Ray J was heading into court in San Fernando, California. The appearance was tied to an ongoing legal matter involving his estranged wife, Princess Love. According to arrest records previously obtained by NBC News, Ray J was accused of pulling a gun on her. He has firmly denied the allegation, telling TMZ in December that he “would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love.”

Following the incident, a protective order was issued that prevents him from contacting Princess Love or their two children, Melody, 7, and Epik, 5. Despite the tension, Ray J made it clear what matters most to him right now. In the video, he said his main goal is to “see his kids” and move past the situation after the hearing.

The concern around his health began last week when Ray J told followers he had been hospitalized with pneumonia, claiming his heart was “only beating 25 percent.” In a January 25 Instagram video, he said, “My health is not OK,” while thanking supporters for their prayers.

Two days later, during a livestream, his outlook grew darker. “2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” he said on January 27, repeatedly gesturing toward his chest. “This is black. This is, like, done.”

For now, Ray J appears focused on recovery, court, and reconnecting with his children, hoping the worst is behind him.
