Ray J is doubling down on accusations against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, now claiming the pair committed perjury over statements about the release of the couple’s infamous sex tape.
The singer recently criticized declarations Kardashian and Jenner filed in court denying meaningful involvement in the tape’s commercial distribution. Ray J insists those statements are false and says everyone involved met directly with executives from Vivid Entertainment to discuss the deal.
According to Ray J, he and Kardashian were each paid $400,000 for three tapes, including two filmed in Cabo and another recorded in Santa Barbara. He also alleged that Kris Jenner specifically pushed for the Santa Barbara tape to be “dirtier,” which he claims shows the family played a more active role than they have publicly admitted. Ray J said the situation has become personal because he does not want his children growing up believing he intentionally harmed someone by releasing revenge porn. He argued that the narrative surrounding the tape has unfairly painted him as the sole person responsible.
“Are [Kim & Kris] out of their f**king minds?” Ray J said. “The fact of the matter is, if you lie like that under oath, don’t you go to jail? Don’t you get fined?”
The dispute comes from an ongoing legal battle between the parties. Kardashian and Jenner previously filed a defamation lawsuit after Ray J claimed they were under federal investigation for racketeering, allegations they strongly denied. Ray J later responded with a countersuit, arguing their lawsuit violated a prior settlement that limited public discussion of the tape.
Meanwhile, Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, has also defended him publicly, saying she will not remain silent while her son is criticized over a situation she believes many people involved already understand.
