After months of speculation about his well-being, Ray J has admitted to using drugs—but only to finalize a business venture.

The singer and entrepreneur went on Instagram Live to make the revelation, explaining that he did a “bump” of cocaine while in Europe.

“Out of respect, I was closing a deal. They wanted to make sure I wasn’t a snitch,” he shared.

Ray J did not specify which deal he was negotiating, but this revelation adds to a series of unusual events surrounding him in recent months. In November 2024, he claimed to have been the target of a shooting. That same month, he opened up about a suicide attempt during an interview with Pastor Jamal Bryant. In October, he had a tense confrontation with Diddy’s children over past comments about their father.

Adding to his personal turmoil, Ray J is currently in the midst of a contentious divorce from Princess Love, which could be contributing to his behavior.
