A troubling video showing Diddy allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, has led to a formal statement from REVOLT. Diddy stepped down as chairman in November 2023 and sold his final shares in March 2024.
On Saturday (May 18), REVOLT took to Instagram to address the issue, emphasizing their support for victims of domestic violence, regardless of their past association with Diddy.
“We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent video circulating of our former chairman, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs,” the statement read. “Even with his recent separation from REVOLT, it is still our duty to address this matter and recognize the direct impact it has on our staff, our audience, and the culture we represent.”
The statement continued: “REVOLT stands in solidarity with all who have been victims of abuse and remains committed to upholding the values and integrity our community expects from us. We vehemently stand against any form of domestic abuse and will always be a fearless advocate for truth and accountability.”
The video, obtained by CNN on Friday (May 17), shows a man identified as Diddy at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, running from his hotel room wearing only a towel. The incident, which occurred on March 5, 2016, captures Diddy grabbing Cassie by the neck, throwing her to the floor, kicking her repeatedly, and taking her personal items before running back to his room.
Cassie is then seen attempting to use a hotel phone to call for help, prompting Diddy to shove her down again. He then sits on a hotel chair, still in a towel, and throws what appears to be a vase in her direction.
According to TMZ, there is no police report linked to the 2016 incident. The LAPD also stated that due to the three-year statute of limitations for crimes before January 2020, they will not be investigating the assault or filing charges.
