The Baltimore Ravens dominated the Buffalo Bills last night at home to win their second straight game 35-10. Derrick Henry‘s first handoff of the game went for 87 yards for a touchdown and from that point on the Bills could not recover. Their defense was ranked last in passing defense. Only giving up 155 yards in passing last night, their lowest total of the year so far.
Lamar Jackson had a very efficient game, only having five missed completions(13/18) passing for 156 yards and two touchdowns. The offense accumulated 427 yards, almost doubling Buffalo’s yards(236). The 271 rushing yards garnered between Henry, Jackson, and Justice Hill was the difference maker.
Hill was a key piece to the win as he caught six passes for 78 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 18 yards Sunday evening. ESPN’s Get Up host Mike Greenberg claimed that former head coach Rex Ryan claimed despite their 1-2 record at the time that Baltimore was the best team in football. So Monday morning Ryan went on for a victory lap.
“Here’s what I know, no team in the history of the National Football League in their first four weeks of the season have outgained their opponents over 100 yards rushing in every single game,” Ryan said on Get Up. “This formula, ground and pound, and it still works. Their defense finally showed up and they were dead last in pass defense and guess what? I know they’re better than that. So there is way more talent on defense a matter of time for them to come together. This team clearly is the team you don’t want to play! Ever!”
High praise from the former coach that is correct, the Ravens have come into their own it seems this week and last week against Dallas. As they head on the road to play division rival Cincinnati this week it will be a game that could propel the Ravens into a hefty winning streak. Check out Rex Ryan’s video above.
