Shamea Morton is entering her peach era—and she’s doing it her way. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star pulled up to The Baller Alert Show with Ferrari Simmons to talk about her music career, life as a mom, and what it really means to hold a peach.
Right off the bat, Shamea came with big energy and even bigger news—her new single “Never Had” is out now on all streaming platforms. Produced by RL of the legendary group Next and B Flat, the track marks a new chapter in her creative journey.
“I’ve always been singing. I’ve been in groups with some of the best, like Keri Hilson,” Shamea shared. “I’ve done everything—radio, acting, TV, hosting, dancing—and now the world is finally getting to see me step into my moment.”
She’s not just holding a mic—she’s officially holding a peach on this season of RHOA, and that means fans are finally seeing more of her personal life… but only so much. When Ferrari asked about her husband’s camera-shy nature, Shamea kept it real.
“He supports me doing the show, he just doesn’t want to be on TV,” she explained. “He’s low-key. He’ll show up for my events and support me behind the scenes, but that’s where he draws the line—and I respect that.”
The conversation got personal as Shamea opened up about motherhood. Her two daughters, Shya and Shiloh, are six and two years old, and being their mom is the role she cherishes most. “They’re my joy. No matter how hard the day is, when I see them, everything lights up,” she said.
As for Real Housewives fans, Shamea promises this season is one to watch. “You’re going to see everything. We’ve got returning vets like Porsha, Cynthia, and Drew, and some amazing new women too,” she teased. “There’s someone in this cast that everyone will relate to.”
Shamea also touched on her nonprofit work with Shamea Shares, which includes a prom dress giveaway, a breast cancer awareness event, and an annual cheer and dance camp for young girls. “I’m big on giving back. That’s what I was raised on,” she said.
In the fan-favorite “You Got Me [Expletive] Up” segment, Shamea didn’t hold back:
Don’t come for her kids. Ever.
Don’t FaceTime without notice. “We don’t even talk like that.”
And stop charging extra for condiments in Buckhead.
In a more reflective moment, Shamea and Ferrari talked about mental health and personal growth. Shamea shared that when she has tough days, she turns on gospel music, cries it out, and drives around until she feels better. “Sometimes you just need a moment to reset,” she said.
As for Ferrari, he opened up about how becoming a father changed his perspective: “I used to think success was everything, but now I realize time with my kids and my family is what really matters.”
The episode wrapped with Shamea giving her husband a sweet on-air shoutout:
“Hey baby daddy, hey sexy king… you so fine, body like a god. You the one I really want. Like my mama says—you make my liver quiver.”
