Rich Homie Quan's Father Announces Public Funeral Plan for the Rapper: “Without the Fans, There Would Be No Quan”

Rich Homie Quan has reportedly passed away. He was 34 years old.

On Thursday, news of his death spread quickly across social media, with reports indicating that he died following an overdose. However, no cause of death has been confirmed.

TMZ further reported that Rich Homie Quan died at his Atlanta home on Thursday, according to statements from his family and a representative from the Fulton County morgue.

Tributes from fans and fellow artists began pouring in soon after the news broke, with many mourning the loss of the Atlanta native who had a significant impact on the hip-hop scene. Singer Jacquees also paid tribute to the rapper, writing on social media, “Rest in Peace, my brother Rich Homie Quan. I love you for Life. #Richgang.”

Rich Homie Quan was born on October 4, 1989, in Atlanta, Georgia. He emerged as a standout voice in Atlanta’s hip-hop scene in the early 2010s, known for his melodic rap style and introspective lyrics that struck a chord with fans worldwide. His hit songs, including “Type of Way,” which peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, “Walk Thru,” and “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh),” not only topped the charts but also became anthems that defined a generation’s sound.
