On Tuesday, fans were shocked to see Rich Homie Quan take aim at Roddy Ricch for allegedly having him removed from a song.
Per an Instagram Live session, Quan discussed a new song with himself, Dj Drama Lil Wayne, Roddy, and Gucci Mane. While discussing everyone’s verses on the record, Quan slammed the “The Box” rapper for requesting to have him removed.
“I ain’t never met Roddy. I ain’t even know he felt some type of way about me,” Quan said. He then challenged Roddy to a hit-for-hit Verzuz, claiming the 24-year-old cannot touch his music catalog.
Roddy later responded via his Instagram, slamming the Atlanta star for coming at him on social media when he was unaware that there was an issue.
“You too old for this internet sh*t,” Roddy wrote on his IG Story. Interestingly enough, he also claimed that he had nothing to do with Quan being pulled from the song. According to him, he sent his part, which was the hook, to DJ Drama and “let them do the rest.”
“Never been no n***a to stop nobody from eating, especially a n***a I don’t even know,” he added.
After the back and forth, it appears both rappers were able to speak to one another on the phone and clear the air. Quan even offered an apology for reacting the way he had.
“Everything is smooth, and we settled it like men, and I want to apologize for my position at the moment and take this opportunity to show everyone that through conversations, we can have solutions,” Quan wrote.
Looks like all is well, though it’s still unclear why Quan was removed from the track.
