Rod Wave was arrested on Tuesday in connection to a seemingly serious incident that took place on April 21st.
Authorities took him into custody in Fulton County, Georgia, on May 20th, where he was hit with a staggering list of charges, 13 in total. They include aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a felony, pointing a gun at someone, criminal damage to property, reckless conduct, and tampering with evidence. It remains unclear exactly what transpired, though some outlets have suggested the incident involved a woman. The 26-year-old artist secured his release the same day through surety bonds.
This isn’t Rod’s first run-in with the law. Over the years, he’s faced a number of legal challenges, including a dropped battery charge in 2022 and a firearm-related arrest in 2024 that was ultimately dismissed. Despite the growing list of legal woes, Rod continues to maintain a strong fan base and remains active in the music scene.
His team has yet to speak on the latest charges.
