The original Hi-Five member Roderick “Pooh” Clark died at 49.
According to Marcus Sanders, a fellow Hi-Five member, Roderick died on Sunday due to complications from an infection and pneumonia.
Thirty years ago, Roderick was involved in a car crash that left him paralyzed from the neck down, making it impossible for him to walk. He developed an infection that spread throughout his body, which persisted over time.
During the last two weeks, he developed pneumonia after constantly being taken in and out of the hospital.
Besides Roderick and Marcus, other band members included Tony Thompson, Russell Neal, and Toriano Easley. They reached the top of the charts in 1991 with their hit, “I Like The Way (The Kissing Game).”
