Romeo Miller recently opened up about how his relationship with God began at just eight years old, following a traumatic incident that changed his life.

He recalled the moment his cousin tragically died in a car crash, an accident Romeo was supposed to be in as well.

“I saw my cousin right in front of me in a car crash I was supposed to be in. I ended up switching cars at the gas station five minutes before that happened,” he revealed during a recent Instagram Live.

The incident was a defining moment for Romeo. As he held his cousin in his arms, he felt the profound reality of life and death.

“Nobody had to tell me that God was real. Nobody had to force me to read the bible or go to church. I knew that God was real when I saw my cousin laying in my arms, lifeless. Being an eight-year-old holding your favorite person in the world and their spirit isn’t there, it tells you a lot about life,” he said.

This devastating experience led Romeo to a deep and unwavering connection with his faith. It taught him the fragility of life and the importance of gratitude and spirituality. Romeo’s relationship with God became a personal, intrinsic part of his life, with the rapper and actor continuing to talk to God on a daily basis.

“A lot of my blessings, I know is not by accident,” he shared. “You gotta find your peace.”
