Ryan Garcia Is Planning His Return To Boxing, Despite His Suspension

Ryan Garcia is preparing to revive his boxing career this winter.

The controversial athlete revealed that he is already planning his next major match in December.  The 24-1 fighter shared the exciting news with TMZ Sports earlier this week.  Although the New York State Athletic Commission handed him a suspension in April following a positive test for a banned substance, Garcia’s resolve has only grown stronger.

“You’re gonna see me fight in December,” Garcia confidently announced.  “It’s gonna be a big fight. Stay tuned!”

Garcia had wowed the boxing world with his dominant win over Devin Haney on April 20.  Although the victory was later overturned due to the positive test for Ostarine, Garcia has remained firm in his stance that he never intentionally cheated, attributing the result to a tainted supplement.  Another hurdle Garcia is facing is his expulsion from the World Boxing Council in July for using racial slurs in a shocking social media rant.

While Garcia won’t be able to box in New York or likely anywhere in the U.S. until at least April 2025, that hasn’t dimmed his excitement.  He’s exploring international options or possibly even an MMA bout, showcasing his versatility and determination to return to the fighting world.
