American golfer Sadena Parks has stamped her return back onto the greens.
On her third tournament back after 3 years, Parks took home first place at THE JOHN SHIPPEN National Golf Invitational.
“In Golf, you take more L’s than you do W’s. This feels beautiful,” Parks told Baller Alert about the win.
Parks finished with a score total of 142. In round one, with 18 holes, she scored 73– and on day two, round 2, she scored a 69.
This tournament was bigger than just winning for Parks. She knew that “a lot of black girls are competing to be in these tournaments.” This specific tournament, named after America’s first Black golfer, was designed to showcase Black amateur and professional golfers.
Parks stated. “I’m continuing his legacy.”
Parks also shared that the John Shippen tournament will give her exemptions into the LPGA events.
Her next tournament is scheduled for June 16th through June 19th.
