“Sex and the City” fans want all the smoke with Nicole Ari Parker after incorrectly assuming that she is replacing Kim Cattrall on the series reboot.
After it was revealed that Parker has a role in the spin-off “And Just Like That,” fans speculated that her character was replacing that of Samantha Jones, which Kim Cattrall portrayed in the wildly popular 90’s and early 2000’s sit-com.
The actress and model reassured SATC lovers that rumors of her replacing Samantha’s character are “not true at all.” Nevertheless, that did not stop fans from voicing their disappointment with her in the new series.
“I have been yelled at, and I’ve also been attacked with love.” Parker says she’s also been “photographed in places I should never be photographed” due to the sheer excitement and anticipation of the reboot. In the HBO Max original, Parker plays Lisa, a Park Avenue documentarian and mother of three.
Cattrall announced in 2019 she would not be reprising her role in the reboot after some prior on-set tensions with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, who portrays the role of Carrie Bradshaw.
