Sexxy Red has responded to her critics, accusing her of “emasculating” Black men during her Rolling Loud Miami performance.
On Saturday (July 22), conservative political strategist Joey Mannarino took to Twitter to criticize the performance of the up-and-coming rap star at the festival.
“Sexyy Red, the ‘artist’ behind Poundtown, just came out with two black men at her feet like dogs at Rolling Loud,” Mannarino wrote. “Hip-hop culture has been taken over by people who want to forever emasculate Black men. It’s sad.”
Sexyy Red, on the other hand, wasn’t interested in hearing what he had to say. She swiftly fired back on Twitter, saying, “I’m freaky [shut] up.”

As pointed out by a commenter, there seemed to be a double standard, noting that when NLE Choppa released his remix for “Slut Me Out” titled “Bytches on the leash” in April, there was minimal criticism or backlash.
“When it was Bytches on the leash nobody had nun to say,” the Twitter user wrote.
In a teaser for the music video of the song, Sukihana and Sexxy Red were seen on all fours, resembling dogs, with the Memphis rapper leading them by their hair. Indeed, for those familiar with Hip Hop history, it’s evident that this trend didn’t originate with either Sexyy Red or NLE Choppa. The credit for pioneering this controversial act goes to Snoop Dogg, who had a group of women on leashes during his performance at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.
