Shoot Your Shot: Nia Long Says J. Cole Isn’t ‘Too Young’

Before he secretly got married to his college sweetheart, J. Cole professed his love for a few of his favorite starlets. “My only regret was too young for Nia Long,” spit the Carolina rapper in “No Role Modelz” off his latest album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

Nia appeared on Larry King where she revealed that even though she is 15 years his senior, Cole may still have a shot.

“He’s really not too young. He just doesn’t know it,” Nia admits.

When asked why she feels she is brought up so much in hip hop music, Nia replies, “I think the thing with me and hip hop music [is] I grew up in a time where Puffy Combs was running nightclubs in the city, Boyz In The Hood was out, and you had Heavy D, Biggie, Tupac, this was an era where we were all kind of growing up in this business and changed the game a little bit. Urban music & Black Films, we had a space to actually do our thing, and I think that… the rappers are kind of just feeling Nia Long a little bit, I don’t know.”

J. Cole has been married since December 2015. Is it too late to shoot his shot or does he get a hall pass? I mean, it IS Nia Long!
