Smash or Pass? Popeyes Releasing Don Julio Tequila-Marinated Wings and Concha Chicken Sandwiches

Popeyes is ready to have its customers actin’ a foolio.

The famous fried chicken chain and the people’s favorite tequila brand, Don Julio, have teamed up for a culinary mashup we never saw coming.

After teasing the collab on social media last week, now the wait is over.

Popeyes and Tequila Don Julio have linked up for a limited-time menu that features the Popeyes x Tequila Don Julio Reposado Concha Chicken Sandwich, a tequila-marinated fried chicken breast topped with tequila lime slaw, spicy spread, and barrel-cured pickles, all served on a sweet, buttery concha roll. Also on the menu are tequila-marinated Louisiana Garlic Wings with a specialty sauce and a Spicy Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade Mocktail.

This exclusive menu is available for one day only on January 31st at select locations in New York, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Kansas City. Afterward, it will head to Popeyes’ flagship location in New Orleans from January 31st through February 9th, just in time for the Big Game.
